New Years Eve

 

NEW YEARS EVE ON THE VIKING SKY – 12/31/2024

 

At 7AM we cruisers can Walk-a-Mile with the Officers and get our steps in while enjoying the sea breeze with four laps around the jogging track.  BUT we opted out and slept in!!!!!

 

Enjoyed a relaxing day at the pool with our books and had a lovely dinner with our shipmates and Villages neighbor buddies, Joe and Julie.  Then a special show of fabulous magic was presented by Nick Paul, a TV and Magic Castle headliner.

 

We all rang in the New Year with a New Year’s Eve Celebration and Dancing Under the Stars with the Viking Band as they played lively tunes from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s to current.  The ship was decorated so beautifully so tried to capture as many photos as we could !!!!!  A fun time was had by all as the champagne flowed!!!!!

  Less than a month now until embarkation. We have both almost finished practice-packing for our Luggage Forwarding. Viking is kind enough to ship one large  suitcase each directly from our home to our stateroom! Embarkation

 Well, it's here at last. After counting down for over 435 days, we finally arrive in Ft Lauderdale and board our new home for the next 138 days! Here is our stateroom (before the luggage arrives).  Our travelling companions are Joe Buckovic and Julie Wheeler, neighbors from The Villages. The ship is beautifully decorated for Christmas already. This is a huge gingerbread house and display in the main atrium. Came back to our stateroom after dinner to find a wonderful surprise from Viking, a nice chocolate cake and a bottle of champagne for Sandy's birthday. All in all, a wonderful start to what promises to be a magnificent experience. We look forward to sharing it with you. Now enroute to Cozumel, Mexico for our first port call. Check back for more tomorrow!
