SEA DAYS ACTIVITIES – (A Snapshot)


People love to ask “What do you do with all those sea days? Doesn’t it get boring?” Well, the answer is NO! There are plenty of things to keep us busy and occupied.


ART WORKSHOPS

Watercolor paintings of the Native New Zealand Tui Bird. Dot Painting of a Kangaroo. Master Layering Techniques of the Golden Wattle Flowers, Australia’s National Floral Emblem. Thursday Island Sacred Barn Owl with its large head and heart-shaped face.  Boomerangs and Sea Turtles.

NIGHT TIME ENTERTAINMENT

Entertainment every evening after dinner includes guest entertainers from recent ports as well as in-house talent.


DINING EVENTS

Executive Chef Alistair and his team dream up new ways to tempt passengers almost every day. There is a special food station, event, or culinary related theme. This particular event was a wine and cheese tasting, complete with a wonderful cheese fondue.


TEAM BAGGO (or CORNHOLE)

Guests divide into two teams to compete in three different games of BAGGO and the winners celebrate with complimentary Mimosas!!!!!!

  Less than a month now until embarkation. We have both almost finished practice-packing for our Luggage Forwarding. Viking is kind enough to ship one large  suitcase each directly from our home to our stateroom!  Well, it's here at last. After counting down for over 435 days, we finally arrive in Ft Lauderdale and board our new home for the next 138 days! Here is our stateroom (before the luggage arrives).  Our travelling companions are Joe Buckovic and Julie Wheeler, neighbors from The Villages. The ship is beautifully decorated for Christmas already. This is a huge gingerbread house and display in the main atrium. Came back to our stateroom after dinner to find a wonderful surprise from Viking, a nice chocolate cake and a bottle of champagne for Sandy's birthday. All in all, a wonderful start to what promises to be a magnificent experience. We look forward to sharing it with you. Now enroute to Cozumel, Mexico for our first port call.
